IMPORTANT: Comrades Water Table Adjustment🏃♀️
Comrades has just increased its water tables from one table every 3kms to one table every2 kms. This means that they have increased their water tables by 50%!
Therefore we ALL to need to recalculate the number of packets per table as the 50% increase of tables could result in over-hydration.
Rather keep to the principle of hydration rate per hour based on bodyweight. It has been suggested that you hydrate within this range: Bodyweight x 8mls to 10mls per hour. (This may vary according to personal preference).
For example if you weigh 70kgs, your range would be approx. from 560mls/hr (if it is cool) to a max of 700mls/hr (if very hot, humid). Please spread this intake over the hour. You may wish to skip some of the tables!
Note too that GT Gel, EnduraPower and Souties all have significant amounts of salt, to prevent hyponatraemia.
