Make high-protein vegan patties with Jireh™Pro and lentils:
Ingredients:
200g red lentils (soak overnight, rinse and drain)
30g JirehPro protein powder (80% Protein)
1 x red onion finely chopped
2 garlic cloves finely chopped or dried garlic
Chili flakes, you decide how much
1/2 cup of oat flour or chickpea flour or potato flour. Add this last, maybe more or less will be needed.
1/2 – 1tsp cumin powder
2 tsp paprika
Salt and (black) pepper, add this at the end, taste will tell you how much
Small amount of oil (your oil preference) for frying
Instructions
Cook lentils for 10 mins – 20 mins
Fry onions for 2 – 3 minutes
Add garlic and continue frying for 1 minute
Combine lentils, onions, garlic and seasoning
Add flour as a binder, a little at a time, you may use less than in the recipe
Add salt and pepper according to your taste
Chill for 1 – 2 hours or overnight
Form into patties, wet hands gives a smooth shape
Fry till brown on one side,and then turn.
Serve with avocado or sweet chili sauce
