Does Yeast-derived Protein Isolate contain any yeast in the final protein product?
No. Although yeast cells (Saccharomyces Cerevisiae) are used to obtain the protein, the final isolate protein does not contain viable yeast organisms: Any remaining yeast cell debris is filtered out during processing. The processing includes an extraction and purification stage which removes or partially removes the non-protein components like fats and polysaccharides, leaving a high-purity protein isolate that has a high amino acid profile that is easy to digest. It has a PDCAA (Protein Digestibility-Corrected Amino Acid Score) of 1. (This measures protein quality based on human amino acid requirements and digestibility).
Yeast-derived Protein Isolate is a vegan protein that is allergen-free, gut-friendly and is easy to digest.
