9 (Really) Simple Things you can do to get into Great Shape!
1. Choose sports/activities that that you enjoy.
2. Do something 6 days a week, but make sure you have at least one day off, where you rest completely.
3. Intensity – Mix things up – Have some hard sessions and some easier ones. Include Tabatas or sprints once or twice a week. Let it get ugly.
4. Variety: Cover the 3s’of fitness: Stamina, strength and stretch. So be sure to include some endurance, strength and flexibility training: Supportive drills, Russian kettlebells, weight training, mobility drills, bodyweight training, plyometrics, jogging, cycling, pilates, hill repeats, stretching etc. No change = no change. 5. Get proper sleep = 8 hours. A lack of sleep puts on fat.
6. Eat from the Garden of Eden = non-processed and varied: Lots of different coloured veggies daily and some fruit.
7. Eat fats – Avos, coconut/olive oil, nuts, seeds.
8. Eat good quality proteins: Whey protein (low lactose), casein. Organic lean red/white meats, free-range whole eggs, fish, dairy and of course, my personal favourite, our Pace & Power LeanPlex! Ridiculously delicious! Just add water.
9. Be patient… don’t fret about results/numbers (weight on the scale/bodyfat% etc). The results WILL happen over time. If you try rush the process, you’ll most likely get sick or injured. Simply be consistent. Enjoy the process! Have fun, connect with folk and find your joy!
