Megan’s Green Smoothie with Collagen Peptides

Green Smoothies! ?
Most of you know that I LOVE my green smoothies and many folk who see me enjoying mine, ask what I put in mine.
So here’s what usually goes in…?
(You don’t have to put all of this in – It’s purely a guide, but make it MORE leaves, less fruit)

  • 2 scoops Pace & Power Collagen*
  • Kale – the curly leaf one  because it’s sweeter than the flat leaf one
  • Baby Spinach or Swiss Chard
  • Collard Greens
  • Chinese Cabbage or Cabbage or Purple Cabbage or Broccoli
  • Tsunga (Zimbabwean spinach = This is lovely! It’s not as bitter as kale – it tastes a bit like rocket or horseradish), plus being from Zim, it’s probably GMO free.
  • Beetroot and/or beet leaves (not every day)
  • Blueberries or Strawberries or Raspberries (for brain health)
  • Banana x 2 (for taste)
  • Orange or Paw-Paw (Papaya) or Mango or Nectarines (TINY portion of these)
  • Ginger – I use a lot of this! It’s great for inflammation, but I also the taste!
  • Raw Apple Cider vinegar containing “the Mother” – one dessert-spoon.
  • Turmeric root or one rounded teaspoon of (organic) turmeric powder. Turmeric is great for inflammation, especially brain inflammation.

Preferably organic, blended in water.
Pace & Power Collagen Peptides! This is an AMAZING formula for ANY connective tissue problems – dodgy joints…sore knees, lower back, hips shoulders etc….
For me, personally, I have had amazing results on our Pace & Power Collagen – And in terms of my training, I no longer wake up with stiff, sore joints – it has been a game-changer! ???
A common question is how much veggies do I put in my smoothie?
As much as possible!… I do 2, sometimes 3 blends (as the well-known blender that I use, is ridiculously small!??), so I make enough to drink about 1litre per day.
My suggestion to you, is to start small and see how you go. Put more green leaves than fruit – so loads of kale, baby spinach, Swiss Chard, broccoli etc. Basically more leaves, less fruit. If you struggle with the taste, add one or two bananas ??? Other alternatives for taste are mango or pineapple.
Give it a whirl and enjoy! ????
*Important note: Our Pace & Power Collagen Peptides is pure! Nothing added: It is free from preservatives, colourants, flavours and additives.
